Finally, her hair was cut very short and she was very drunk. She drove home, got into a serious accident and ended up in the hospital. Her recovery time was long, so The Time Machine’s Yvette Mimieux took her place. Yvette also had long hair and was convinced to cut it short.
Jennifer regretted the whole thing; she cut her hair, got into an accident, and didn’t make the movie. She healed up, her hair grew back, and she continued her career. But she learned: Don't cut your hair and drive.
The scene seems to be quite camp (a term used back in the 1960s for films that were obsolete to the point of being funny, even though they may have been quite serious) by today's terms and the robot's weapon is really bizarre.
