Reflecting on our dreams can show us the clues to enhancing our life story.

It is a beautiful weekend in New England. The trees have sprouted their new growth and the flowers – the flowers are just beautiful. People are busily going from place to place gathering those signs of the birth of a new season. Everywhere you see new plantings and each home is creating its own special bouquet of color for all to see. It is a wonderful time of year full of promise and full of the reflections of your greatest dreams.

You are the center of your story and as such are the creator and the actor in that play. You choose the plot, the time, and the events that intertwine to form a story that you alone direct. You can choose to create a story of love or to become a king or queen. You can do this because you have the ability to reflect upon that which you create and alter the direction or the picture you see.

Today I reflect upon my story and in truth have made several midcourse corrections. I take this time of reflection for I know that within it I will find the answers, the direction, and the creativity I need to find my pathway amid the chaos of this world. I reflect upon the wonder of just being alive and upon the thankfulness I have to those I do not know but give of themselves so that I can live and breathe in freedom.

The dreams we create are the dream of the future and they depend upon the dreams of the past. It is within those dreams that we find our values, our desires, and our truth as a people. I am thankful for the dreams my parents dreamed and the dreams of those who came before them for I know it is within those dreams that our present world was forged and it is within our dreams that our children’s world will begin.

Because we live in freedom it is our dreams – our stories that create our future. By allowing our dreams to surface we bring refreshment to our present world like the flowers of spring bring to our wintered world. Our best is found within our dreams and the stories we create are fashioned within our ability to reflect upon the meaning and substance they contain.

Have you trusted the beauty of your dreams? Did your forefather’s dreams forge the person you are today? Will you reflect upon the dreams of your youth and the dreams yet to be and see the transformation of your world? I see the dreams of my forefathers within each moment of my life for they created the world I see. I am thankful for their dreams for they are indeed beautiful.

It is important this weekend to reflect upon the wisdom and the wonder of our forefather’s dreams. It is important to be thankful for their sacrifices for what we are is the fulfillment of their dreams. We are living an awakened dream and no matter how unsettled our times seem they are the culmination of generations of dreamers. They are the sum total of the reflections of mankind on the dreams they wished to see.

Dream my friend and create your future. Dream and begin each day with a new aliveness. Dream and become the essence of your dream self. Take the time to reflect on your greatest dream and make that dream come true .
