Memory of a tree in our backyard where I grew up in North Central Texas(Colleyville). We do not live there any more so I thought it would be ok to say the name.

I remember as a child, the things that would fall on the ground when it got colder in the winter. They are squiggly things really with neutral colors. I would play with them and Momma would get mad at me because my elder sister and I would use them in the Barbie dollhouse as pretend firewood. 

As I got older, Momma explained what type of tree we had in the back yard that made such a mess hanging over the driveway.  We had a Mesquite tree in our back yard in Colleyville, Texas. It was so large and grandiose that it hung over parts of the driveway! We do not live in that house    though. We do drive by there occasionally and that dang tree is still there!

I suppose we drive by to relive the old memories in Colleyville. It was a good house and the tree served its purpose; Barbie doll firewood, shade and good memories.
