Those who are still harboring bitterness and anger from the last election are generating disharmony with their pen, even here at the Den.

Reflections

The last election is a study in contrasts, and an example of how good
arguments can sometimes be muddled by the wrong choice of words, and the wrong approach, and the wrong people.

Presenting issues through a celebrity who obviously was intellectually deprived, and focusing on a candidate's physique instead of the important
issues at hand,was the first disaster. A he-man hulk cannot solve the nation's problems by posing with his muscular assets before the nation, therefore it was not a valid argument. Getting the crowd worked up was good but it presented nothing substantial, solution-wise.

Secondly, presenting a "common citizen"
profile through a "political props" was the next inappropriate gimmick. Surprise! He spoke of the security in the Middle East and the need to support Israel! We had a big laugh on that one.

Third, having a vice presidential candidate who has no idea of the role or job of a vice president and telling it so on worldwide television is the last painful but hilarious occurrence.

Banking on the emotions of anger and fear among the crowds were not that effective when the voting was finally made.

Now there seems to be a fallout of the anger and fear from these rallies that has somehow trickled through the Den, and sad to say, some are more than just sour, they are bitter grapes.

The spirit of animosity and hate that was generated from the past election has polluted the writing of those who refuse to move on but continue to sting
others from the bitterness of their defeat.

Such attitude and blind prejudice projects a heart seething in anger and
creates an atmosphere of disharmony wherever and whomever it comes in contact with.

Question: does it help the nation? Or better yet, does it help us all? To
downright character assassinate someone
already elected by THE MAJORITY is to me a very unChristian act and totally
UNKIND. To force one's view on another through anger and intimidation is pathetically - childish.

What comes out of the pen, or the lips, comes from the heart. To judge and rebuke in anger without valid information is false accusation. How can one put labels on people he has not met or does not know personally?

May I add here that I have recently received some acerbic replies to my views on this issue, but allow me to
stress the fact: we may disagree on many things, but the use of inappropriate language is quite uncalled for and reflects a lack of
discretion and decency, particularly if it comes from those who call themselves
"Christians".

We are not leftists, we are not socialists, and we are not voters who voted for the new President. We are the citizens of the world who viewed
this man and saw in him the hope of a new America.

No one, no candidate in any country, for that matter, has gained worldwide
respect and admiration from the
countries all over the world, than this man -Barack Obama.

As Americans facing a challenging future in the next few years, my prayer is that those who cannot accept defeat, will finally leave the past behind and move on in unity towards helping the next administration succeed in bringing solutions to the nation's problems. Together you can.

You have only one country - that is America.
