Heather Schultz has written a very sweet book about two friends who were taking riding lessons...an opportunity comes that both girls, Summer and Tiffany, get their own horses - They proved to their parents that they were dedicated to the sport and the parents thought the girls would benefit not only by having their own horses, but the responsibilities of taking care of them.
So begins a very sweet story of bonding of girls and animals - That beautiful summer of friendship that would never be forgotten.
I don't want to give too much about the story..
Summer has a dream that is most beautiful - bittersweet -
But the gist of it is something I truly believe - I have friends waiting for me in 'Summerland' as Richard Matheson called it -
Summer Dreams is a well paced story that has its share of tears, as well as a lot of smiles and applause...
Every child goes through a phase that they love to read about horses - and young horse lovers will devour this book.
I remember, I was there when I was young - We were lucky - my Mom was an equestrian, so horses were very special to my family -
