Bobbi Jean Lonkoski has written a small volume of her poetry. There are many poems everyone will be able to relate to - When one writes poetry, you literally bear your soul to the public - and make yourself very vulnerable. And that is very admirable of Ms. Lonkoski.
This volume kind of reminded me of Mattie Stephanek's work - though Mattie was an old soul in a child's body - it is the innocent simplicity I mean by the comparison.
Ms. Lonkoski has the potential to continue to write great poetry - The only thing I didn't like about this volume is all the words are IN CAPS AND THE WORDS SHOUT AT YOU!!!!!
Poetry softly touches your soul.
I think if Ms. Lonkoski lets her soul soar, her poetry will not only continue to touch your emotions, but you will keep looking for more of her work.
Poetry is VERY objective - what works for one, doesn't for another...but I think this volume bears a look-see.
