I first heard of Lisa Williams last year. One of my friends, knowing my interest in the metaphysical, told me to turn the TV on and watch this program...It was Life Among the Dead. It was on the Lifetime Channel for two seasons. Unfortunately, it was not picked up for a third. Mrs. Williams wrote her biography to show us the progression of her life to how she came to be on TV. And it is an interesting ride!
Lisa Williams inherited her gift from her grandmother, who in her time was a well known psychic medium. Lisa tells her life in straight forward terms, and we see she seems to be a very nice young woman. Someone you'd like to come over for a cup of coffee, or maybe tea in this case.
She chronicles her journey in honest terms and I like her more for it. Her journey to be a psychic/medium on television is fascinating.
Merv Griffin, who we in the US have known quite well, saw Lisa and was immediately interested in creating a show with psychic/mediums. Griffin was always cutting edge in his shows - from his talk show to his game shows and his foresight into the metaphysical is amazing. When Griffin first saw Ms. Williams, he asked her who she saw in his office. The validation she gave back, which I will not 'spoil' is amazing.
Lisa Williams is also a Reiki healer, and has helped in healing processes, both conventional and metaphysical. I also have been trained in Reiki, and her wonderful approach to talking about it is handled beautifully.
The progression from 'normal' life in England to practicing psychic/medium in California is fascinating. You will like Ms. Williams even more after reading her story.
One hopes she will continue to enlighten the public into the world of Spirit. She doesn't go into processes in this book, like some metaphysical books do - to say, this is the way to meditate...but gives us the process of what she is doing in her life to help others.
She mentions the Other Side at the end of the book - what happens to Spirit and what happens after they cross over. Whether or not you agree with this interpretation of 'crossing over', you will be happy to have read Williams' book.
Very much worth reading - Mrs. Williams is on a book tour of the US - and I am going to try to be there - the last time I tried to be at a signing was Stephenie Meyer, and I couldn't get near the place!!
