What you need to know before coming to Canada...

REOPENING CANADA/U.S. BORDERS:
Canada will open its border on Monday the 9th, and the U.S. will open its border two weeks later. So, does it mean that anyone who comes from the U.S. has to be quarantined for two weeks and sent home if the test result is positive? I am wondering why the two weeks difference in the time for reopening.

Travellers to Canada must remember that you are to quarantine for two weeks after the COVID test when coming through the border, and you are supposed to go to the hotels specified for the quarantine. You are also required to pay for your hotel bill. You must add that amount into your travel expense so there won't be any sudden, unexpected cash loss. I think you are supposed to be quarantined inside the hotel for several days, at least, and then either be sent to your visiting home or perhaps be sent back home if you are found positive, to continue with the quarantine period. I don't know the details... since this is new to everyone, I'm just giving you some kind of warnings to prepare yourselves for the trip. You must check out everything first before coming to Canada.

UPDATE: Well, it looks like if you're fully vaccinated, you may be exempted from the quarantine, but only when the border deems you're qualified for an exemption.
