pleasures fruitful palate
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Persian melons

remind me

of Valencia.

She wore orange blossoms

in her fire berry hair-

Her essence melded to me

as bouquets of spring lilacs

with freshly peeled ginger root;

Offering delectable plumcots

as she shared cherimoya fruits

with my naked flesh

and my hungry soul...
