Why stop with pot?
Why not? We have already gone down this road before with the legalization of gambling in the form of casinos and lottery. "The toothpaste is out of the tube," so let's move on and legalize marijuana, and while we're at it, let's legalize prostitution. Then in a few years when the economy takes another turn for the worse we can do the right thing and legalize hard drugs and weapons of mass destruction.
You say it like it it, my friend. I went to the little Michigan town of Royal Oak last week and saw a bulletin that announced the soon arrival of a "marijuana center." Having two young daughters, 18 and 21, exposes me to the damaging effects of pot as I meet and get acquainted with their friends who have long practiced its use. Sanctioning pot is condoning the destruction of a generation to come as far as I am concerned. It breakes my heart for the young.
