With a scarcity of money in San Francisco's coffers, many ideas have been used to curtail spending and increase revenue. Work furloughs for employees's seem to be a relatively painless and popular idea. I for one see this as an extremely intelligent way to increase revenue from those that are not producing at the maximum. Immediately coming to mind in this category is San Francisco Board of Supervisors, of which I am sure would be happy at the suggestion. I think a work furlough of at least one day a week would be a great service to the city, as it would give the Supervisors more time to consider their actions, and save money.
