This article was written to vanquish fear from those who will stand and speak forth Truth in the perilous times that we are living.

Brace yourselves as you read the following, amazing statement: “On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the nations. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Matthew 10:18-20.

Can this be true ? Is this possible? My answer is a confident “YES”! Let me attempt to explain it.

We have all been in those undesirable predicaments where, suddenly, there was an expectation for you to say something; to respond; to give an answer or an explanation. You know the situation, the one we all fear when in a moment, without warning, you are isolated from the group and all eyes are fastened on you like red-hot laser beams.

This is what we are confronted with; this is our challenge now and in the days ahead. We, who say that we know God and who lay claim to the name of ‘American Patriot’, are responsible to speak forth our convictions; to announce what we believe and why we believe it. True, we are to live out what we profess, to allow our actions to be read by others like a ‘book’. However, once the onlooker sees that there is something unique that marks us, it is incumbent upon us to explain just what it is that makes us different.

Numerous times, I witnessed those who have waded into unchartered waters to resist the tide of their own trepidation in order to speak from their heart. Every time, without exception, they were left with no embarrassment or regret; just self-amazement that the words they spoke had a powerful influence on the hearers. This is God being true to His promise that if you will stand and speak for Him and for your country, you will not be put to shame. In other words, if you will open your mouth, then God will fill it!

In the coming days, our message may not be popular or well-received by many within our land. The polarization between the camps of the right and the left has never been greater or more intense. Under attack are the fundamental principles and values that make America unique and exceptional. It will not be a time for the timid. Your confidence cannot be founded on anything less than a rock-solid belief that the words you speak are the irrefutable Truth.

Here’s the winning combination: know what you believe, live what you believe, and be ready and willing to share with others. And always remember that your sufficiency for the occasion will not be of yourself, but of God who is at work in you and through you.
