I was reminded of a personality test I took at an orientation a few years back. We gathered into groups with varied personality categories (A-D). We were asked what would be on the bumper sticker of each of individuals based on the four categories. There were two of us in the same category and almost simoltaneously we said, "There's no way I would have a bumper sticker on my car."
Which leads me to two related thoughts about bumper stickers.
One is tolerance and acceptance. I sometimes enjoy some of the bumper stickers I read, others I find too cutesy, while some are just annoying to me. While my reactions vary, I stand steadfast on never having one on my car (I don't even like to use a parking sticker). That is my choice. My choice also is that I will never jump out at a stop light and pull off the bumper sticker that annoys me or I find too cutesy. In return, I expect the same respect so do not place a bumper sticker on my car.
The second thought is of a deeper nature. When couples are making life plans together involving spiritual beliefs, children, house work, money, etc, the decision of bumper stickers on cars needs to be addressed.
