My thought of the day comes from elected officials stating they are willing to work with any party to get things done. When does willingness become reality?
But that is not my real thought of the day. My thought of the day is that once a person becomes an elected official for all, that is what they are, an elected official for all. This makes them instantly non-partisan. There is no elephant facing off against a donkey with an eagle flying over head to zoom in. Non-partisan means no record is kept of party statistics in voting. That's the first step. I'm not stupid, people will figure it in their heads......for awhile.
My true thought of the day is that the only parties in DC, in our government, are celebrations. Celebrations of victories of working together as one to help our country.
"One for all and all for one" is a favorite movie line kids like to recreate but I don't think I ever heard a Musketeer or a kid say one for all and all for one as long as they are not part of that political party.
(Sorry....watched Adam Sandler's "Deeds" the other night. then read a twitter by a promonent political figure. I guess the combination with a lack of sleep turned me into a save the world twit.)
