A NASA study reports an amazing new finding in the arena of global warming.  Scientists have discovered the main offender in the deadly rise of the heat index is…are you ready?...the sun.  That’s right.  It is now official; science has finally discovered that the sun heats the Earth.  Amazing, isn’t it?  It is good to know that these wonder-discovers really are looking out for us.  Here is the headline in the Daily Tech: 

       NASA Study Acknowledges Solar Cycle, Not Man, Responsible for Past Warming

Researchers now say that the recent warming trends are due to cyclic variations, the normal eleven year cycle of the sun.  Of course, this is exactly what many scientific researchers have been saying all along.  You know the ones, the ones with no agenda.  Those would be the ones who were labeled by environmentalists as “truth deniers”.  

One must now feel very sad for Al Gore.  He must be taking this news very hard.  First it was that embarrassing internet thing and now this.  The poor man’s Global Warming Hoax has been outed.  I wonder what he will do with himself now that humans are off the hook. 

I would bet nothing will change, however.  It would be difficult to envision Al Gore, the mainstream press or their fellow environmentalists coming out and openly admitting their error.  I imagine this bit of science will be ignored, just as was the DNA discovery that proved all humans can be traced back to one single woman, which should have put an end to the “theory of evolution” once and for all – but didn’t. 

I suppose those who will ignore NASA’s discovery should be called…oh, let me think…”truth deniers”.  But they won’t be.  Of course, they may just claim they never heard about it.  The press will probably bury the news, just as they do any story that isn’t in keeping with their “agenda”.  But one can always hope and keep searching the Huffington Post.  The Green News, being “green” after all, will surely print the truth.  You think?  Maybe?  No, I don’t either.
