I don't, at all, have faith in Obama - none whatsoever - not anymore.  I never did have faith in him, to be honest, but I at least had hope.  I don’t even have that anymore.  I don't have any faith in the Democrat Party either and see them as just plain evil.  I still have faith, even if only a small amount of trust, in the Republican Party.  That said -

I think what Obama has done (fiscally) is deadly to this country and the world.  Because the hammer hasn’t yet fallen, the proof is not yet evident.  Therefore, most of the diehard Obama supporters won’t accept that prognosis.  They won’t believe it until it is too late – it may already be irreversible.  I didn’t like the stimulus package that Bush pushed through just before he left office, but "they" were saying "the sky was falling" so I didn’t know what to think about it.  But now, since we have only spent about that much on the, so called economic crisis and haven’t really seen any positive results, I hardly think it wise to run up the bill into the trillions, before finding out how the first stimulus bill works out.  Especially since we now know there is so much pork in the bill and that they voted for it before even reading it – just put their faith in Obama – and since much of the bill either doesn’t even address the economic problem or won’t even go into effect until well after we either recover by natural causes or go bankrupt as the bills come due, with interest, before the money is even spent.

Many on your side of politics hated Bush because they said he could bring on Armageddon by interjecting his religious point of view into his policy making.  I think Obama is purposely trying to bring Armageddon by his fiscal policy and by his plans for government takeovers.  I really do.  That may sound ridiculous to a guy like you, but if you will look closely, with an open mind, to his past – what he has said, with whom he has surrounded himself, who he has studied with, his background and the things he is doing now – who he has put into office, who he has made his associates now and in the past, the people in his cabinet (and the ‘czars’ and such) their backgrounds.  Then look at his policies and where they are headed, maybe then, you will understand why I think that.  Don’t just dismiss this as absurd as so many of your colleagues do.  

Just about everything he is doing is leading this country away from the constitution and toward socialism at best...and it's scary. Take the government takeover of GM (and how that will affect all Auto Companies as they try to compete in the market) and his attempts to takeover health care in this country, for example.

Anyone who believes that the government will allow private insurance companies to compete on a level playing field with government health care is naive.  Once we have government health care, it will take the government no time at all to suck in the entire industry, and the only “Insurance Companies” you will have left are those that are writing government policies.  So, sooner or later - probably sooner - the insurance companies, as we know them, will be gone. 

Then, through new DOT regulation, they will control much, if not all, of the transportation industry with medical and food transport acting as the camel’s nose under the tent.  Of course, one of the first regulatory groups to gain communistic-like control over the people will be the FDA.  The restaurant, grocery – well, all of the food industry really – will fall under even greater government control because of “health issues”.  Then, of course, the vending industry, school and work place cafeterias will have to be regulated as well as those you will find in all areas of people’s lives.  That means the government will regulate, to the point of control, crop and dairy farming as well, even more so than they do already.  (This was probably the only thing I disagreed with Reagan about.  Farm regulation, I mean.)

One has to look at these things a little deeper than most people are, I think.  It should be the press's job to bringing these things up, ask the questions, get the answers - but they are sold out to Obama and the Democrat party and just won't do it.  So these things are hard to get out to the public at large.

Once the government has this much control (and don’t be mistaken – it will be total control) what’s next?  And does it really matter what’s next?  With this power - this kind of control - just how much more will be needed for the government to become Totalitarian?  Not much.
