I recall when President Bush got shoes thrown at him by that foreign reporter.  The first visual of that brought me straight out of my chair with anger; I was appalled to say the least.  But the leftist press and members of the Democrat Party thought it was funny.  While Gen McChrystal's remarks in Rolling Stone magazine did not rise to that level of outrage, they were, nevertheless, at a level that we who one might think would stand on the General's side, must stand instead on the side of the President.  I am glad to see that, as of yet, I have not seen anyone on the right stand with Gen. McChrystal, even though, I might add, the leftist press has made several remarks in anticipation of just that. That is because that is what they would have done - they and the Democrat Party - had this occurred on a Republican Presidential watch, so, quite naturally, they imagine such a response on our part. 

Again, I say I'm glad...

I'm glad to see that fellow Republicans are rising to higher ground than the Democrats and their bought-and-paid-for press have in the past and would if this was turned around.  I'm glad that Republicans continue to stand on the side of right-thinking no matter where it takes us - in this case, the firing of a great general.

It is also interesting to see that the before-mentioned-press is already twisting this into questioning the whole surge movement.  Shameless of them - as usual.  Thank God, the people are seeing these differences clearly as it is played out in an in-your-face sort of way.
