Why Capitalism Will Destroy Itself In 20-30 Years And What To Do About It

Here’s why Capitalism will fail:
It continually outsources jobs; it replaces workers with technology and it drives masses of workers from the middle class.
It’s really common sense. When the working poor can hardly afford the next meal or a place to stay, who is able to buy washing machines, cars or TVs?
Capitalism by its very structure demands an impoverished population. Somebody has to clean the toilets. And it’s not going to be the one percent. Even these jobs may be obsolete soon. I recently read that Walmart is experimenting with robots to do the cleaning. Amazon is experimenting with drone delivery.
If capitalism fails, what will replace it? “Nature abhors a vacuum” and something will replace capitalism. There are those who will promote a fascist state, a plutocracy, or a corporate state. Or a hybrid of these. They will try to deceive everyone into believing there is no other choice. They will play on fears of terrorism, chaos and social breakdown.
If this is true , we need to take preventive action now to keep this from happening. We must decide what replaces capitalism. We need to be able to offer alternatives to those who will want to impose fascism on us.
In order to offer alternatives we must have alternative ideas and plans. It is ideas that will protect us from the evils of a fascist state.
Ideas have consequences. Ideas play themselves out in historical events, global upheavals and massive change. It was an ideas that created 9-11. It was an idea that created the Russian Revolution of 1917. It was an idea that created the American Revolution. Ideas such as “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I am suggesting that small groups of Americans come together to follow the path of our forefathers who before and during the American Revolution gathered in small or sometimes large groups in homes, taverns and churches to debate ideas and questions. It worked then;it will work now.
I am suggesting that Americans gather in small discussion groups In order to prevent a fascist takeover when capitalism fails. These ideas should be discussed around dinner tables, in churches, in civic organizations, and in classrooms where students could hold debates, work on projects on projects presenting various ideas and interpretations of what kind of government and economy we want.
There will be arguments, and disagreements about a variety of interpretations. This is as it should be; democracy is a chaotic, messy, and noisy business.
Over time a general consensus should develop about what a democracy should look like. Also, once the people get an idea of what they really want,it will be less easy to pull the wool over the our eyes.
Some suggestions for good starting points:
One good starting place is the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America

We the people of the United States-Citizenship (see reference above) starts us off by suggesting that this clause refers to “all citizens of the US.”
But we can ask: Who are the people of the United States? Do they include Blacks? Latinos? Women? At the founding of the Republic, citizens were white, propertied males.
In order to form a more perfect union-Citizenship defines this Clause as meaning “to make everything in our country as perfect as possible.”
Some, “the Originalists,” claim that the Constitution is fixed in stone like the Ten Commandments. The Constitution cannot be changed except by amending it. Others say that the Constitution is a living document and the founders intended it to evolve with changing times. What does forming “a more perfect union” mean? Can we come to a consensus on it?
I could continue on with the rest of the clauses but I think you get the idea. Here are the rest of the Preamble Clauses as defined by Citizenship.
Establish justice-beginning fairness for all.
Insure domestic tranquility-promising that everything in our country will be peaceful.
Provide for the common defense-give protection to everyone.
Promote the general welfare defined-caring for those in need.
Secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity-making sure freedom and fairness continues for ourselves and all our children and their children and their children and every generation to come.
Do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America-approving of and beginning the Constitution of the US.
Other topics could be the Declaration of Independence as well as a variety of selections from the Federalists Papers.
I envision an America where people come together over neighborhood potlucks, in church groups, in bars and restaurants and classrooms to develop ideas about what kind of government we want. Over time a consensus should develop about where we should be heading.
It is time to take our country back. It is clearly time to stop fascists from controlling the dialogue and that finally Americans will have a government that Lincoln spoke of, “a government of the people, by the people and for the people.
I'm in favor of something that President Nixon proposed… Overlooked in all the scandal that his administration became: Workfare. Using the already established taxation system, have all nondependent taxpayers be compensated according to their need. In other words, on a scale similar to what has been used for Obamacare, instead of paying taxes, unemployed or underemployed citizens would receive monthly "refund" checks for doing work. They would have to prove what that work was in order to qualify. The whole idea would be to raise everyone above the poverty level with spending money, higher self-esteem, willingness to go into seemingly unproductive areas like the arts and crafts, research, caregiving, volunteering and other meaningful but low or no paid occupations like most indie authors.
With this kind of system, personal initiative would not be hampered. People could go to school as an occupation and be paid for it. Capitalism could still operate, as long as monopolies and trusts were properly regulated so as to not kill fledgling young businesses by vicious attacks or buying them out.
And the United States must reach out to the world and help other countries achieve the kind of freedom and opportunity that we have so that we can stop the tremendous pressure of immigration from destroying opportunity by undermining what American citizens think they have.
