The following is a letter that I sent to a few friends and a couple of family members. Please feel free to use it to remove negative people from your life.

Dear xxxx xxx,

I want to let you know that as a result of the recent elections, I am trying to eliminate negative people from my life. Sadly this includes you, and also includes those who support either now or in the past, the 45th President of the United States. I wish to have as friends only those people who are supportive of my values and beliefs.

These values are a significant part of who I am. They are not merely political beliefs such as tax policies, etc., but make up the core of who I am as a person. Examples of such values are integrity, honesty, and truthfulness, basic morality. When you support such an immoral person as 45, you are attacking me, and I consider this a personal affront.

Therefore, I wish no further contact with you. If you are on any of my social media accounts, I will block you. I will not contact you or disrupt you. If you try to contact me, I will ignore you or even shun you.. I hope you will respect my decision and not attempt to contact me. I also want you to know that I am sending this message to others as well as you

I also want you to know that I take this action sadly. Over the years I have enjoyed our contacts and will miss them. But I cannot allow negative and hostile 45 supporters in my life. I cannot allow the negative values and hatred from the 45 world impact me. I want to keep only those as friends who are uplifting and positive.

In closing, I hope that you will get everything that you voted for.

I was curious about your letter. Yes, it's the type of letter I'd like to send to a few of my acquaintances. But I'm not going to do it. I'm going to be the nice person I am and show them what intelligence, a sense of community responsibility and caring looks like. 45 supporters at heart are racist, sexist, hostile, ignorant folks. They need to see a better example. The America that they envision will not happen because we are all living in a new world, not the world of the past, which made big mistakes. That big tax cut they hope to get from 45 is not likely to happen, but a recession and ecconomic strife is most likely. I'll keep tuning in to 45 supporters just to keep an eye on them and challenge them in a meaningful way.
