Stephen Bannon, former head of Breitbart News, named after dirty trickster Andrew Breitbart, did an interview with the New York Times, during which time he called them "the opposition" and told them to do their research (They had predicted a Hillary win). The Gray Lady, whose motto is "All the news that's fit to print" should know that Bannon is a conservative propagandist. Any news organization that would name themselves after a political operative with no journalistic ethics is not a fit source. Andrew Breitbart, now deceased, is known as the brains behind the ACORN scam. The black women who worked there said that James O'Keefe and his female co-hort showed up in normal attire and asked for their help getting settled in a legitimate business. O'Keefe's famous fur coat (he got from his grandmother) and clueless pimp attire only showed up when the video was doctored. Then Breitbart did it again when he listened to about a minute of Shirley Shabazz's speech during which she implored poor white people to join with blacks to demand their rights. He labeled her a racist, which is a sin in itself, since white people were the racists who owned slaves for over two hundred years and followed that up with Jim Crow laws. Remarkably one of Glenn Beck's staffers listened to the entire speech and decided not to publish Breitbart's assertions. But he wasn't finished. His next step was to send O'Keefe to bug Louisiana senator Mary Landrieu's office. He was caught, but that didn't seem to be a crime in Louisiana. On another front, Politifacts, a fact checking organization has been labeled as toadies financed by the notorious (wink) George Soros. They found that Trump lied more than he told the truth. Other fact checkers are also being attacked. A new lie is Trump's assertion that the Keystone Pipeline will add 20,000 jobs. Not true . All it will do is make it easier to deliver dirty oil from tar pits in Canada.
This business about "alternative facts" outlined by Trump hack Conway, needs to be stamped out at its source. An overt lie should not be protected by the First Amendment. We've seen what happens when that's the case in modern Russia and in Nazi Germany. Control of the media is the first thing a potential dictator does. How many conservative voters know that Faux News was run by a Republican operative, Roger Ailes, and owned by Rupert Murdock, worldwide conservative media magnate.

Let's get back to conservative bogeyman George Soros for a moment. He's a Holocaust survivor who emigrated to America where he made billions; he's so rich he makes Trump look poor. But he doesn't try to undermine the election process like Charles and David Koch who own a large percentage of the Keystone Pipeline. Charles and David have helped elect over thirty Republican governors, some of whom have a super majority in those state legislatures. This leads to the kind of behavior that we see in Texas where legislatures try to suppress abortion clinics and rewrite history, leaving out the embarrassing parts, like slavery. You know blacks really loved being slaves. Until Lincoln passed the Emancipation Proclamation.

We need to protect our gatekeepers. Republicans hold a majority in the House and Senate and the presidency, along with numerous alt. right cabinet members. They cheated President Obama out of picking a supreme court judge. A new "originalist" judge eliminates that check as well. Our check and balance system of government is under attack. We need the Gray Lady more than ever.
