40% of Americans can't pay all of their bills. Many of them rely on a tax return after next April, but they won't be getting one because they didn't take withholding (better do that now; it'll help some). If you have a mortgage, you won't be able to deduct that. Yes, I know; that's a big chunk of your deductions. Yet, the orange person claims he gave you a fat tax cut. Oh, you might have enough to get groceries for one week, but that'll be it. Yes, the Dow is up and the GNP is up 4.2%, but that doesn't help you. You don't have any stocks; your employer doesn't think he needs to give you a pension anymore because he can get somebody else to do your job. Yes, there are still people out there, looking for a job, even if the orange person keeps bragging about "his" 3.9% unemployment rate. Really? It was 4.6 when Obama left office and we had had nine years in a row of a bull market. Shortly after Obama took office, it was 10.2. Have you forgotten the Republicans voted against the stimulus bill and went crazy because it raised the national debt. They're not too bothered now, are they? Because of Trump's tax cut, it will rise another 2.5 trillion in ten years. World investors are already staying away from buying our t-bills and our credit rating is going down. We had a AAA under Obama. How many of you people who can't pay your bills, voted for Trump? If you're a soybean farmer, maybe you regret it. You've already lost 20% of your profit because China won't buy your crop and they were buying 70% of it. All because Trump put tariffs on practically everything we buy from them. Here's something you probably didn't know. Corporate America likes those trade deficits. They can buy much cheaper steel from China than from American steel factories; Or they could anyway, before the tariffs. Trump now claims five new steel factories have opened since his steel tariffs. Corporations don't act that fast. So then, why are those factories reopening? Yes, they're reopening. Many of them are taconite factories on the Iron Range in Minnesota and the reason they're reopening is because Obama put a tariff on Chinese steel before Trump did. But he didn't piss them off because he didn't add hundreds of other products the consumers were getting cheaply. And the Chinese knew they were dumping steel on our market, more than usual, I mean. Let's get to the ex-union guys and gals in the Rust Belt. Where are those jobs the orange person promised you? You didn't lose those jobs because of NAFTA; you lost them because corporations were laying people off and replacing them with robots and you lost them because of right to work laws your new Republican legislators were passing. Why pay somebody $35 an hour when you can get them for $20 or even $5 as Carrier did when they moved their factories to Mexico. Mexico is the new China. Their workers are still willing to work for nothing; China is having trouble selling their products to their own people because they don't earn enough. That's their goal. So, they're raising wages; Once China gets a large enough middle class they won't need America anymore, especially after what Trump just did. Lots of luck getting that soybean market back again, farmers. I've got a lot more, but just remember one thing: Republican congressman and state legislators could care less about the forty percent who can't pay all their bills. They want that money from the Super Pacs. The anonymous ones whom the conservative Supreme Court says are people, too. Vote blue in November; vote a straight blue ticket. Local Republicans are just as bad as national ones.
