The Marshmallow Test

You'll live a lot longer if you listen to Dr. Fauci and stay at home until the "all clear" announcement. Wait to eat your marshmallow.

It appears the demonstrations occurring throughout the country demanding we open for business were not spontaneous as the clown car in the Oval office would have us believe. A woman was arrested at one of the demonstrations who had ties to the anti-vaxers and gun control opponents.

There are a number of reasons I believe this. One is that they all popped up almost simultaneously right after Dumbo said “Liberate Minnesota”; he later lied about these pop-ups, claiming they had a right to demonstrate (not if they're putting lives at risk) and that they were maintaining a safe distance. Not in the videos I saw or in the pictures from various media. Two would be the anti-vaxers disdain for human life. We had diseases like measles and mumps almost completely wiped out, until these bozos refused to vaccinate their children, claiming they caused autism. There is no scientific evidence they do. Of course they could be allergic, but allergies won't generally kill you. I don't want to blame it on Jenny McCarthy, but she was the first person I heard claim her child was autistic because of a vaccination. Since when do we listen to a Playboy Bunny? Well, maybe Trump would.

Let's get to the real jackasses, the NRA and other gun nuts. They actually believe conspiracy theories like the one spread by that Limbaugh wannabe Adam Jones that New Town and Parkland were hoaxes. 26 six and seven years olds and their teachers were murdered by an assailant who had autism. His mother took him to a shooting range to toughen him up. He paid her back by making her his first victim. Trump allowed the My Pillow dork to castigate the Parkland kids, calling them “whiney brats”. He's the whiney brat as is his fearless leaded Dudley DoWrong. Do the police need to show these people the pictures of the dead babies? Apparently so.

These demonstrators are spoiled brats. They need to take the Marshmallow test. Educators gave children a marshmallow to eat, telling them they could have another marshmallow if they waited a half hour. Some couldn't defer their appetites. They ate them almost immediately. Those with patience were much more successful in the future. I predict those who stay home will be still alive to eat their marshmallows.

I haven't heard of the marshmallow test. But as a nine-year-old, picking beans in the field. I took my money home to my mother for her to put in my savings account. Most of the other kids ran from the bus to the delicatessen on the corner to buy candy, eating their meager earnings and getting bad teeth because most of them were slackers when it came to work, anyway. I believe you're right. These are the people we see protesting on the orders of their Hitler and chief.

Well written and hard-hitting…

Ron
