"NO!"
The young mother's eyes widened at her tiny child's vocal push-back. She was the boss, not this little fellow barely out of diapers. How dare he.
He pushed the captured object into his mouth and swallowed. Then locked his eyes on hers as if to say, What are you going to do about it now?
We've all participated in this scene at one time or another. All the world IS a stage and we are All players upon it. We may play different parts, but I believe it is safe to say, we have all been in a position of either being IN authority, or being UNDER authority. There are no exceptions,
Meanwhile in another part of the house, the mom's other two youngsters were watching television together on the couch. Nine year old Emily's brother grabbed the remote out of her hands and changed the channel.
"HEY!" she yelled, "I was watching my show! Give me back the remote."
"Nope. Not going to happen, little looser. I'm in charge." He ignored her as she glared at him.
"You're NOT the boss of ME!" She insisted while trying to grab the remote back.
The twelve year old laughed out and replied, "Might makes right, kiddo."

Someday they will all have, what I have decided to call "The Creature's Epiphany", but now I'm getting ahead of myself. We'll take a look at these fellow creatures a little while later, but for now, I just wanted to introduce you to them, very briefly.
In Part TWO, we'll look at this epiphany, and discover why every human needs to experience it. Yep. All Seven Billion of us. Without exception.
