As an editor, there is rarely time to stop and do some of my own writing... however, I felt it was time to thank those who have allowed me to work with them and care about their lives and their written works. Hopefully, by this time next year, there will be many more miracles for me to share.

April 16, 2002, my first article, "Staying Sick Can Come to an End" was published through Suite101.com. Thinking back to that day, I most remember the awesome hope I felt about the opportunity to share my knowledge on illnesses and with this knowledge to be able to help others. It was on my heart to write my life story... the one that everyone always said should be in print. Then I began helping others to write also.

As a young child, I was raised on a racehorse farm in Texas and was an only child without a father. Around our farm, which my 'tower of strength' mother ran, there was a constant flow of people. There were jockeys, trainers, horse owners and always excitement everywhere. However, along with all of this, there was a lot of work. This hard work helped me to become who I am today… a tenacious woman with a passion for helping others to learn how to live happily in this world.

Being an only child was not much preparation for becoming a part of my husband's huge family. Not ever having a father, and being raised by my strong mother, did prepare me to be a survivor, so when I married Thomas and learned his family's motto was being hard workers also, I was elated.

My natural son, Marc lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Crystal and son Taylor (3 months). Marc is a talent agent for a large agency and Crystal a CPA. My husband, Thomas has three children: Ann, Mary, and Billy. We have five grandchildren through his children. Thomas also has three brothers, a fabulous father and stepmother, an awesome mother and stepfather and many aunts, uncles and cousins that are now dear to me. As you can tell, there is plenty of love to go around and soaking all of it in that I am able.

Reading, writing, the English language and being creative have been my hobbies since I was seven (yes, this is true .) I loved to read even as an infant (of course the book was upside down.) To pick out my favorite book of all time would be a torturous task because there are too many. Therefore, I will share four authors I love and why I love them. My first and foremost favorite author is Oswald Chambers. Everyday for the last thirteen years, I have read each morning from his book "My Utmost For His Highest." This book has literally kept me alive. Another favorite author of mine has been V.C. Andrews. I have almost every book published by her and her writing inspired me to believe, that I too, could write. The third writer I would mention and share about would be Stephen King. I write a lot of scary material, as well as health-related material, and his books have taught me not to fear writing frightening information. Last, I would like to share that I believe John Grisham is one of the best authors that exist today (of course, being an ex-legal secretary probably causes me to love his work.)

I graduated from a small country town school in Texas. Throughout my life though, I attended many different schools to learn about writing, graphics, reporting, designing of newsletters, and well, just how to take the English language and create a miracle. I am currently writing a serial killer book and that memoir (which never seems to end.) On a bi-monthly basis, I publish health articles at Suite101.com and poetry as often as possible.

For the most part, what I do most creatively, is edit other people's manuscripts. Being a mentor/guide for other writers has been a challenge for my company's growth. It is with this opportunity, that I am able to take my passion for helping others and incorporate it in guiding writers to become self-supporting and successful.
