Were you ever in a violent situation? Have you ever been punched or worse? Were you innocently in the wrong place at the wrong time? How did you feel after the violence was over? If you have answered yes or no to any of these questions, read on.
Today life is complicated. Taking a bus across town can become stressful and violent; especially, if you have never had to take public transportation in the past.
We are human beings and we have feelings. When do we achieve our breaking point? What can cause our breaking point where we can do harm unto others or unto ourselves. This week has been an especially stressful and horrific week. Who would have thought one person could create such violence in so short a time in one college.
The family and friends left alive are now broken and need to be put back together again. This will take time, patience and love.
We are all made up of emotions. When we push the wrong buttons on someone who can become violent – why are we surprised when it does happen?
People who are on medication need to be extra careful. - medication can cause all kinds of emotional upheaval. When mixed with alcohol you are a loose cannon ready to go off.
Who would ever think when dining with friends in a family restaurant one family member could suddenly turn violent against the another? It did happen and it happened in one second. Somebody who was perfectly sane one minute - committed a violent act. That is all it takes. One second and your life and others have changed. We must be responsible for our actions. We live in a free society but it does not mean we can knife, shoot our family, neighbor or school chums.
My heart goes out to the families and friends who were the victims of a horrific, violent man.
