Do you get stressed when you have a doctor’s appointment? If you need an MRI, or physical therapy does it take forever to get it approved by your insurance company? Do you keep hearing these words, “your insurance company did not approve your therapy, you will have to pay for it yourself.” If you have answered yes or no to any of these questions, read on.

Why is it now more than ever insurance companies are not approving testing, therapy, and surgeries? What is going on when the monthly payments keep going up, up and up?

It seems the insurance companies are actually practicing medicine. They are in total control as to the type of treatment you receive. They are in total control as to the brand of medicine you will take. The Insurance Companies answer to their total control is WE MUST KEEP THE COSTS DOWN.

If the insurance company disapproves an MRI you must have in order for the doctor to make the correct diagnosis what are your choices:

(1) You can pay for the MRI out of your own pocket.

(2) You can appeal the insurance company

The days of your medical doctor ordering tests, making decision about your care and well being are over. The insurance companies are definitely in charge. The medical doctor’s are fed up with this kind of treatment. They would like to take their practice back. Medical doctors want to practice medicine and give their patients the best care possible, but their hands are tied. Many doctors along with their staff spend hours fighting with insurance companies in behalf of their patients to achieve the care they need.

The United States is the best Country in the world. Why do we let the insurance companies dictate our health care?
