Authors love to write. It is something an author can do almost anywhere or at anytime. If we can't sleep we hit the computer. When our brain starts buzzing and we can't concentrate on anything but a new idea for an article or story, we have to STOP and write.
There are so many people now self-publishing their books the money is really rolling. It is splashing, and pitching and it seems to run on forever. But let us put this in perspective. Who is on the receiving end of this never ending supply of money? Not the author.
New authors have a hard time in their marketing campaigns. With the media slamming doors in their faces, the big books stores not even trying to help the new author, the door gets slammed in their faces over and over again.
But does this make the self-published author any less a writer? No of course not. The new writer of today has just as much to say as anybody else.
The publishing world in New York City seem to be far removed from what is happening. The self-published author is here to stay and make a statement. We are exploding in our energy, creativity, and marketing skills.
