Las Vegas what a sight! When you arrive at this destination of gambling, drinking, shows your heart starts to flutter. This is definitely not home. It is about as far from it as you can get.

The lights - the action - the people make up what Las Vegas is today a moving shaking town. Throw away your watch it is not important. Time like we know it stops and non-stop entertainment starts.

Walking, walking and more walking is what I did on my recent trip to Vegas. I could not tell you how many miles I walked but my feet told me, they were very clear in their voice to me. Stop walking and sit down.

I discovered something very interesting about their transportation system. If you take a bus you can get a 24 hour bus pass for $5.00. This really came in handy as I went up and down the Vegas strip.The casinos in all the hotels seemed about the same.

The same machines will gladly take your money. Take is more like it. Every once in a while I did win a small pot, but of course that went back to the house trying to make more. The 21 tables are always there to take your money with polite men and women trained to do just that.

There is much to do in Las Vegas without spending a lot of money for entertainment. There are free shows in some of the casinos and some outside of the casinos.

On Freemont street outside on the sidewalk is a light show. It entertains with short movie clips and music. It does not cost anything and it continues all evening long. Fremont street was an exciting place to spend an evening. The street is radiating lights from all the Casinos and stores. There is free entertainment and something for everybody to entertain them for hours.

Shopping is where you see the theme of the hotel in spades. Some of the hotels really go all out in the decorations of their hotel and some do not care. They know the money will come in by the buckets whether they decorate or not.

The shops are really something special. The jewelry shops can leave you drooling. I must admit there are people out there that can afford to buy jewelry and clothing in their shops but I am not one of them. There are items to be purchased for your usual souvenirs. There is something for everybody no matter what your budget is.

Outside the lights are really something to see. The casinos are all decorated in lights of all colors. The lights tell a story and keep with the theme of the casino. If you want to be in an exciting environment far from your normal everyday hum drum life go to Vegas.
