.When I asked her on what subject she wanted to write her book on she was confused. She had so many topics. When she really started looking at the topics she saw that she could include many of her articles and topics into the book in different chapters. The main thing to remember when you are writing your book is - WHO IS YOUR AUDIENCE?
She has been writing for years and knew how to create a document in Microsoft Word but she did not know how Microsoft Word worked.
I showed her the basic moves; such as, cutting and pasting and even inserting a picture into her document. Such basic techniques are virtually unknown by a majority of the computer users.
Writing is a challenge. It is a lonely, titillating job. You truly need to love what you are doing. In most cases, like my friend, just knowing how to create a document, saving and emailing is all that is necessary.
When it comes to writing a book the actually workings of Microsoft Word is needed in formatting your book. You need to know how to change the margins, cut, paste, copy, page numbers, etc. The more you know the better your finished product will look. When you get ready to send your book to your publisher your personal choices will be on your book.
If you have the time, try to take a course in Microsoft Word. It will be an experience and education you will never forget and use over and over again.
The more knowledge you have on any subject which interests you is money in the bank -creating less stress on your mind and body.
Thank you for reading my article. Please feel free to read any article I have written on numerous subjects.
