MAPS
Going on a long or short car trip today can be as easy or as complicated as you want to make it. If you do not like new technology stick with the map. I love map lovers. I won’t give up my maps. Maps are great but there are some draw backs. When you are driving you can’t tell when glancing at your map when driving or having a co-pilot read the map. But in reality it is not the easiest way to go. It doesn’t give you how many miles to the next turn and it doesn’t tell you when you are to turn like a GPS.
MAP QUEST
Map questing your car trip is another way to go but you still have to read and drive at the same time. On the plus side, it does tell you how many miles to the next turn. It will definitely help to have a co-pilot reading the directions to you while you drive. It is much safer. Reading and driving is dangerous.
GPS
The newest technology is the GPS. They come two ways: the first way is when you purchase your car, it is already built in. The other way is to purchase a small one you can plug into the cigarette lighter. You can get the kind that talks to you or the ones that do not. The GPS which talks to you is the most effective. You do not have to look at it all the time and it is much safer. You can also turn the voice down or off if needed.
The GPS will tell you exactly how many miles you are from your target address, and how long it will take to get to this address. It then tell you how to go, when to turn and when you have arrived. Some of the GPS devices even tell you which side of the street your address is located. There are several different kinds of devices with all kinds of bells and whistles.
Everybody that drives has their own special way to get to their destination.
When you decide to use a map you trip can become a real adventure and don’t be afraid to ask for directions.
