When was the last time you were at your neighborhood animal shelter? When you walk through the rows of cages neatly stacked one on top of the other with a live, living, breathing dog or cat inside, it will make you feel sad.
Animals are for loving, for giving their heart to their owners and family. Not locked away in a cage where there is only enough room for them to lay down or sit up.
These animals are in need of homes. They want you to take them home and become their family. What is so wrong with that?
Pets Can Relieve Loneliness:
They look so cute and playful. Are you lonely? A pet can really relieve some of the loneliness from your life. When you take care of a living breathing animal you will help yourself.
Owning a Pet will make you feel needed:
Everybody likes to feel needed.
These animals are needed. There are many more animals now because of the way the economy is still kicking us in the behind. It is hard to feed your family let alone another mouth to feed.
Boost Self-esteem in children and adults:
Weight Loss:
Dogs can help get you kids outside and play instead of indoors molded to the television set or video game, or even their cell phone or IPod. They will feel the love that is generated from this gift of a dog you have given them. There mental attitude will be kicked high and their self-esteem will thrive like never before.
Without realizing it, if your child is overweight the pounds will start coming off with the joy of playing with their pet and taking it for walks.
It's a no lose situation if you are financially, emotionally and have the correct housing situation to take on a pet.
Why don't you and the family hop into your car and make a trip to your nearest animal shelter. It will change your life.
