On November14th, last Wednesday evening a very determined young woman set up a tent at the Best Buy store in El Cajon, Ca. She was immediately told she had to remove her tent and herself from the property until what is known as Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
She immediately relocated herself and her tent to the La Mesa Best Buy on Fletcher Parkway. At this location she was told she could indeed set up residence until Black Friday. This amazing woman’s name is Rhiannon Buckingham, 26. Her fiancé of six months, Adam Muenich who works at a shipyard, keeps her company during the long boring days. Mr. Muenich said, “I’m all for Rhiannon staying here and getting her TV. Ms. Buckingham said, “I want a 65 inch television so I’m here to stay”.
On the same day that Ms. Buckingham set up residence in the parking lot of Best Buy, Jason Faust, 32 pitched his tent right behind hers. Mr. Faust said, “I want a 40 inch Toshiba television. I’m not working and I can’t afford to pay full price. I intend to stay and get my TV.”

Mr. Faust has numerous family and friends helping him maintain his position as being the 2nd person in line for the door. He is relieved from the monotony for a couple hours each day. He can then return home to take a shower, charge up his cell phone, and eat.
Both of these people have caused such a commotion in the city of La Mesa channel 6, 8 and 10 have interviewed them on television. But it doesn’t stop there. CNN has picked the story up and now it’s on national news.
There are now four tents set up at Best Buy. By the time Black Friday rolls around who knows how big this will go.
But as the mother of Jason Faust said, “How else can somebody who isn’t working or has a low income be able to buy anything full price.”
This will probably be a wonderful story each of these young people can someday tell their families about their adventure one cold winter spending the week at Best Buy.
