Why Do You Volunteer?
People volunteer for various reasons. I will list the reasons below:
1. There is a real need for your work.
2. Personal satisfaction.
3. The respect you receive when you finish a job well done.
When you volunteer at a certain place or job on a daily, weekly or whenever basis you know what to expect. This is the time you can use all your skills and learn new ones while you are affiliated with whatever organization you are working.
When a new element is put in place at the last minute you can be somewhat not prepared for this situation. You might even get angry at the situation. After all this is your thing and you come to love what you do and love the boost to your self-esteem.
But after the anger is gone what can you do. Go with the flow the next time you volunteer make sure your job won’t be torn from under you at the last minute. But life is like that. It can change in a second.
Don’t stop volunteering. You are needed and cherished and you can never do wrong because you are a volunteer.
