As an American living abroad, I keep posted on events in America by reading the newspapers and watching CNN and CNBC. The news from the States that I read and view on TV is as confusing as it was when I lived in the States. I was not surprised when I heard a statement from a newscaster on CNN like, “They don’t have air conditioners in Europe.”What I find even more disturbing is that the voices on both of these stations of those talking are completely out of sync with the movement of their mouths. This has been going on for some time now and no one seems to care.
I believe that people are not listening or having conversations. They write what they need to say in Blogs, Facebook, Twitters or other elcetronic devises and seldom think of using the telephone or e-mail to speak to one person at a time. Since so few of them seem to care what others have to say or write, they would not notice when the voices on the TV are not synchronized.
