As we have just celebrated Christmas, the Incarnation of Jesus Christ – the “Word Made Flesh (John 1:14),” “Emmanuel – God Is With Us (Matthew 1: 23), and prepare for the Feast of the Holy Innocents, December 28, 2021, I can't help but recall this Life-Choice Santa story of the late Fr. Peter Crifasi.

In 1992, many Operation Rescue Life-Choice heroes were peacefully standing up for the unborn and were then arrested and taken to the East Baton Rouge (EBR) Parish Parish Prison.

Fr. Peter Crifasi, also a member of Operation Rescue, was told by the ERR police then that they would waiver his arrest in respect for him; also the local Bishop had begun to tell Fr. Peter around that time that he he really shouldn't be seen in public as a priest with these types of gatherings.

Being a humble and caring servant of the Lord, Fr. Peter proceeded then to come back to the clinic dressed in Santa wardrobe, so as to be incognito, and was soon joyfully arrested to join his fellow Life-Choice advocates and friends at the ERB Parish Prison – see attached.
