Avoiding nightmares from plane travel, a recent Christmas experience, thankfulness for having Flight Insurance, flying home per a Rental Car!

With New Years coming up and many folks looking for resolutions to strive for to make the upcoming year more meaningful and without "flight-mares" - like many folks unfortunately faced during the recent Christmas Holidays, be sure to add "flight insurance" to your travel plans!
Thank God I had flight insurance in place so I wasn't stuck in an airport in Atlanta the day after Christmas and got reimbursed for 1/2 of my flight.
What a blessing it also was to just keep my car rental to drive home to Redstick even earlier than my flight would have!
So when you prepare
In the New Year for travel by air
Don't forget flight insurance
to save you from FLIGHT-MARE!
Thanks for the tip. Why I always drove during the holidays. My folks didn't live near major airports and rental cars were expensive. It's fun just to watch the mayhem of people who think that travel should go the same way it always does during holidays and the weather. It's better to have options like you had. One time, when I miss my flight the day after Thanksgiving, I flew standby, and actually arrived, like you did, ahead of my regularly scheduled flight.
