I recently completed reading Tonja Myles' wonderful new book, "From The Crack House To The White House."

Here's my dedication and Forward to this great clinical colleague's publication and is also an encouragement to all to read her poignant story of endurance, hope and loving leadership as we all address the ongoing cultural concerns facing society of drug addiction, human trafficking and mental health:

Who but a traumatized, wounded, healed and recovery, treated addict can better understand how addiction and mental health concerns are so prevalent - usually hidden and stigmatized - and are family diseases?

Who but a 'Been There / Done That!' prostitute can articulate so vividly one's overall needs for a positive self identity, dignity and worth as a temple of God?

Who but of 'Me-habilitated' and 'Set Free Indeed' woman of God and Soldier Fighter take less than a full deck of life's cards and play / live the game / life so passionately as a great leader for all of us?

Who but Tonja Myles can lead all of us to 'Seek Ye First' (Mt. 6:33) out of the closed doors that are in our lives and into the many open and life-giving doors of the House of the Lord Jesus Christ???
