Cops, your job is the protect and serve. You are public servants. We, the citizens, are your employers, because you're an agency that operates off state and Federal tax money. That's a basic fact as things currently stand, regardless of what you want to think of it. As such, you can't kill your employers with immunity and expect things to be fine and dandy. You can't wrestle someone to the ground, restrain them, and then execute them. You can't choke someone to death over a cigarette. You can't shoot a homeless man dead and sic a dog on his body. You can't beat a husband to death in front of his wife and kid whom had nothing to do with the reason you were called to the scene. You can't shoot an unarmed man in the back nearly a dozen times. You can't shoot someone, be in full control of the situation, and then shoot them dead for 'not following orders'. You can't do any of these things over and over and over and expect nothing to happen. You can't burn your house down and expect everyone to cry with you over your house burning down. You created the current situation, at least a few of you, which is the stupidest part of this. You are all being put at risk from the nuts who don't know how to fight with words, because you aren't speaking up against the bad cops. The majority of you are good. I know that for a fact, or the problem would be much worse than it is. However, you miss the mark when you suggest the government should take guns to solve this issue, instead of demanding a stop to needless deaths perpetrated by your coworkers. The solution to all this is very, very simple. It's not rocket science. You don't have to put someone on Mars to solve this. Good cops simply have to speak up and stop protecting the bad cops. Nothing to it. So do it.

Sorry, Black Lives Matter, but your movement is racist and based on false pretenses. Look at the news. Do you see white supremacists and blacks killing each other in all these stories? Sure as hell don't. You see cops killing citizens with overzealous policing. And if you look real close, you'll see it's black cops killing white people and white cops killing black people and all mixes. You can't solve a police violence problem by screaming racism. And argue it's 'racism' all you want, but it's not. I've been saying it for years, but conveniently enough, a 5 million data point study on police use of force was just released this month (http://www.nber.org/papers/w22399.pdf). The only statistically significant points that stand out in it are that blacks are more likely to get roughed up by cops, and that black cops are more likely to shoot someone if they're white. I'll call that a tie, even though I'd rather be roughed up than shot. Not only has the way you have handled this 'movement' accomplished nothing, but it's prevented progression on the problem and is making the situation worse. You have alienated a large segment of the population that doesn't support what we see in these videos. Then when people try to get you to expand things, you want to cry 'you don't get it'. Guess what? We get it. That's why I supported you at first. My Gaelic ancestors killed and enslaved each other, my Native American ancestors were slaughtered and diseased for the land you stand on, and my Irish ancestors were enslaved and let starve. Guess what? We get it. What you don't get is the fact that you can't create a future while dragging along the past, or that you wouldn't say most the stupid shit you say if you knew anything about history. There wouldn't be any people on this planet if everyone hung onto dirty laundry, because everyone on this planet could find a reason to hate everyone else if they really wanted to. Some power is in your hands to turn things around. You can either stay the path, make things worse, and light a bonfire you don't want, or you can recognize this is about police violence and bring people together instead of deepening the division. I don't care which you do, because this problem will be solved one way or another, with or without you. So either be useful in regards to the actual problem or pack it up.

News. Screw you, news. What the hell do you think happens when you splash these stories around? Are you trying to start a race war? Or do you just not know that a huge number of people don't read past the headlines? I know you're just looking for click bait. I know you don't don't actually think about anything but revenues, but you better start thinking about what could happen if this problem isn't solved. Who's going to click on your ad if we're all busy with a civil war? You're blowing sparks everywhere, making things worse by giving all this so much airtime. Report it, yes, but how it's reported is out of hand. It's portrayed as though there's some sort of winner in this. Society wins because a 'criminal' is dead. Cops win because they caught a 'criminal'. Nobody wins. Everyone loses. And notice the quotes. We have something in this country called due process. It doesn't matter if someone gets filmed shooting at a cop in broad daylight, they're due their day in court and aren't guilty until a judge or jury says so. That's how our country is set up. You may not like it, I won't say that I do in all instances, but that's how it is. A lot of people seem to forget that. Cops aren't Judge Dredd. It's not legal for them to execute someone just because. They have guns for self defense, but self defense is relative. What's okay when someone shoots a gun isn't the same as what's okay when they swing a fist. What's okay when someone is up on their feet isn't the same as what's okay when they're on their back. Especially, when it's 'trained professionals' who are supposed to know how to handle such situations. Stop portraying incompetent cops who can't handle the situation they find themselves in as heroes and stop using racially charged words in headlines. That shit is poison to society.

The current situation will get worse if not fixed. Cops want us disarmed even though the number of cops killed each of the last few years has been below the 1990-2010 average. Black Lives Matter isn't winning friends, but are also riling up the pure racists who probably wouldn't care about this one way or another if they weren't. The news is splashing sparks all over the place. Meanwhile, those who look at the big picture are getting irked at everyone else, because we're watching people run around like chickens without heads and not address the actual problem. Pure insanity is the only way to describe this. Demand that cops fill their role as public servants and speak out against the murder of citizens, or prepare yourself for the social bonfire that will burn if it's not stopped.
