DeSantis/Beshear: Independent Ticket 2024
So after ripping into every dearly held political belief you probably have with the last ~5300 words of essays I've wrote in the last week, starting with 'The DeSantis Effect', I'm going to wrap up this extended rant and call to action up with a picture of hope and of what could seriously change the entire US political landscape. We need change. Real change. The current trajectory of the US political environment is not sustainable as outlined in the four potential outcomes outlined in 'Neo-Swastikas'. All primary outcomes of the current environment end in some sort of disaster ranging from civil war to stagnation if the current path is continued to its logical conclusion. However, people aren't logical, they're emotional, so that's the logical way of saying 'we're all screwed and your kids are screwed if we let this continue'. The two main political parties are sponsoring what amounts to domestic terrorism with their foot soldiers burning stuff and getting into fights. This is unacceptable and we either continue watching things fall into chaos like Portland or we attempt an actual change. Neither of the two parties have solutions, because they're too busy trying to profit off the problems. So here's my suggestion as something to try.
Let the Dems run Biden. Who cares. Will the man be able to even talk and walk by then? Let the Reps run Trump. Who cares. 90% of his support has evaporated in the last two days. Let's see DeSantis run on an Independent ticket and promise to vote for him. I lived in FL for 13 years, know he took nearly the whole state this election, and am satisfied that he's close to the middle. I've also watched him for the last three years because of the pandemic response. Now, not only that, he needs a VP. I suggest Beshear, the governor of Ky. I've voted for and against him in the last 15 years and that's made me satisfied he's close to the middle. Beshear isn't the only potential, but any potential has to be in charge of a roughly 50/50 state like both DeSantis and Beshear are. If they can't get elected to a 50/50 state, we DON'T need them at the national scale. The entire point is to meet in the middle as independents united under the Stars and Strips and not some damned DNC or RNC shitshow designed to rile emotions and cause people to fear vote. The point is to turn away from the two party system. DeSantis is NOT a Republican, he's just registered as one. Beshear is NOT a Democrat, he's just registered as one. These two governors and prime examples of what we need moving forward if we want to move away from the hatred and violence that is being used by the Far Left and Right. The same violence that has people sitting in jail as I type this, with their hopes, dreams, and families destroyed because of the the ideology pushed by the Far Left and Right. Granted, they were stupid enough to buy into it, but you can't completely blame someone for being poisoned if someone sells them cyanide as sugar.
The long term success of the US and our entire futures is going to rest on whether or not we can fix the problems that have only grown worse in the last decade. As far as I'm concerned we should burn every flag in this country except the Star and Strips, State Flags, and the VA/MIA flags. Fly the others on your property if you want, but they have no business in politics because nothing should be between voters and their State and Federal governments. You are voting for someone to help run the country in some way, their party or group affiliation is irrelevant. The most important thing that could be done to start making a change at the ground level is to take the 'party' buttons off the voter machines. If you don't know enough to know who for and why you're voting, you simply have no reason to vote or at least not for that position. It may be your right, but your vote is worthless and making the actual data, the actual votes for individuals, not mean what they should mean. That is called 'throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks'. We really need to stop this process because it's leading to people who have no real idea of who they're voting for getting into fights over who they're voting for. I'm not saying don't ever fight a little over who you vote for, I'm just saying know WHY you're fighting and don't fight POINTLESSLY. If you're not dissing every politician for at least one reason, if you don't have at least one reason to vote against them that you have to weigh, then you're just uninformed.
So, this is my proposal for DeSantis and Beshear, or DeSantis and another firm middle of the road governor, to run on and Independent ticket for 2024 so we the US people can make our voices heard that we're tired of both the Republicans and Democrats and so that we have something other than scams to unite under.
