So, what's going on now that warrants an essay from me?

Well, the new victimhood being pushed is towards men. Everyone hates us. We're unneeded. There's no support system. Blah. Blah. Blah. First, they did it with everyone else, now they're trying it with men. Who is trying to do it is hard to say. It could just be greed and people running out of topics and this is just the new hot button topic. It could be that the people bringing this stuff up, like mainstream news (which is highly sus itself), Jordan Peterson, Ben Shapiro, Chris Williamson, Mike Rowe, and many many more actually believe it when presented. And I can see how people would believe it. I'm not even saying it's not present, I'm saying that it's not manly to care that it's present. I'm saying that it's a manufactured rabbit's hole that has the fundamental effect (perhaps goal?) of turning men into 'victims'. It's more blue pill nonsense. Always stick with the red pill, always be pragmatic and look at what's behind the mirror.

Now, what is a 'victim'? From Google: 'A person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action.' Well, basically that means everyone is or will be a 'victim' of something during their life, whether it be a carjacking or theft or bad weather. It's Wrong Place, Wrong Time 101. It's a circumstance that is temporary and normally instant, regardless of how long any after effects last. But the propaganda and arguments are such that people are starting to believe they're victims. The nonsense is selling the very idea that X group is a victim and this can't have anything but bad effects on a person's mental and emotional lives. It marks them as different. Special even. Special enough to warrant a special suffering. And this is ridiculous. If you have a place to sleep, food to eat, and a relatively safe environment, you are ahead of at least 2-3 billlion people in the world. You are not dying in a ditch somewhere. You are not a 7 yo child soldier. You are not being gang banged by 20 men named Patel. You have not been picked for special punishment, regardless of how much you may believe you have been. Victimhood is almost certainly a mental illness, probably akin to being paranoid and thinking some weird group is tracking you since taking the roll of a 'victim' implies there's a group who aren't victims, rather hunters. Not only that, but you would connect the state of victimhood with your 'in' group and anyone not in that victim group would start to appear to be the hunters. We can clearly see how this has fueled issues with minorities, women, and other groups and now someone is trying to do it to men.

I'll be clear, I don't think anyone transferring these ideas back and forth has really just stopped and looked at it as a concept and how it fits in with previous pushes to created 'victimized groups'. I don't think they would talk about it how they do if they had. It also just doesn't fit in with what makes a man a man. A man is considered to be more of a man by other men the more independent they are. This is a defining feature of a man. You can have friends, you have have associates, but you don't have anything to fall back on except what you've stashed yourself. And this seems to be the main sticking point of the argument to turn men into victims. However, it's a non-argument. Why?

Say you have an emergency stash. A savings account, a cash stash, a couple items you can sell fast for cash, a change jar, whatever it may be. Most everyone has an emergency stash of some sort. But does your emergency stash have an emergency stash? Maybe, but probably not, or you have several small stashes that can add up. In evolutionary terms, men are the emergency stash. If someone has to die in war, die helping others, die protecting a kid, die providing, and so on, it is going to be a man the vast majority of the time. Our biological job is to procreate and be the emergency stash. Sometimes literally, because there's all kinds of married women with a boyfriend or two on the side. Those women perfectly understand what I mean about men being the emergency stash, whether or not they understand that they understand it or are willing to articulate it.

The victimhood argument just doesn't hold water against men once the fundamentals are looked at. It is also one argument out of the many victimhood arguments made over the last couple decades that I do not believe anyone would actually want to succeed if they understood the consequences. Men know how to create and destroy. The last thing any sane society needs or wants is several million men running around all paranoid and thinking someone is out to get them, because that is how you destroy a society and it all becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. And we're already on the edge now with 7-10 million (depending on the source) working age men not working. They aren't creating or destroying, just in limbo, and the group could lurch one way or another unpredictably. Nothing good will come from pushing what amounts to mental illness on a group of people who by all accounts are drugged to the gills and delusional from too many video games. These men, as well as other men and everyone else for that matter, should be very careful about the ideas being pushed their way. New ideas have to be dissected and examined so they can be put in proper context and you'll find that most ideas can be discarded as irrelevant fairly quickly once you do that. Matter of fact, if you discard 100%, you'll be right 98%+ of the time. So this was my warning about the new victimhood being pushed on men: don't buy into it, and if you do, good luck.
