The official submission call for the AuthorsDen published project DYERS EVE. (Matt and Simon, you came to me in 2004 for an anthology -- I promised that I would get one going for you. You waited now here it is. Let's get this mosh pit going!)

This project doesn't have a title yet but when I get the stories I will come up with one. There will be three books planned for this. Since ralan.com isn't running my GL's I am relying on facebook and myspace to make it happen. When the first Tabloid was done, the guidelines were just on Xanga.com (so go and bombblast the message boards with this.)

This is what I am seeking, Gothic Horror Fiction without the erotic content (violent and visceral perfect. Think a Grindhouse take on gothic horror. Read House of Spiders 3 for an idea what I want. Hit hard -- very hard with it. I want this to go toe to toe with Chimeraworld, but on a more epic scale -- Mike, buddy, be prepared to have run for your money. Go House of Pain on their ass, you House of Pain guys already know what I have in mind. House of Pain was a grindhouse horror site. As I said with TPII -- go hard or go home. In other words be ready to come in guns blazing. Something that gives a loud middle finger. Not horror that gets people laid, horror that is written to rule the f*cking world!) 

What I am going for is similar to METALLICA's ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. DYERS EVE is the final track. The line -- "I've outgrown that fucking lullabye"

Be sure to include social commentary (drug abuse, suicide, anti-abortion {I'm pro-life -- my story for this is done. I needed a vehicle to unleash it}, political violence {president kills himself in office,} mental illness, gun control {a frightening reality where no one is allowed to own a gun,} war {Show the ghosts of the Iraq War,} and God -- it's a secular anthology but I want to feature three Christian authors if they can do the Grindhouse style. Don't be preachy about it if you're going to a God story -- I want a raw vulgar display of power. If the story is able to hit me between the eyes, its in.  You have to make it really thought-provoking.)

Think H.P. Lovecraft, Rod Serling, John Milton, William Hope Hodgson, Bruce Dickinson (the novel, Chemical Wedding,) Barbara Shenouda (The Balkan Secret Conspiracy,) Ayn Rand (Anthem -- there will be a tribute to Ayn Rand anthology planned for Broken Mindframe Books,) Frank Perretti, Tedd Dekker, Stephen King, and Joe Hill. 

Word count: 6000-20,000 words (I want opuses with this. Don't send anything short, save that for Ethereal Gazette -- the gazette I will look at stories between 2300 to 30,000 words.)
