It doesn't matter that "time" is relative - it is simply NOW. The way time is perceived determines how useful it is.
Lowell Fillmore once wrote that people who are in a hurry are seldom on time and people who are on time are seldom in a hurry. “Time” as an arbitrary measure of achieving something is quite relative to the perception of the person. Mr. Einstein had some mind-knocking thoughts on that subject a hundred years ago.
Many of us jog our awareness that it is now August 2005 by the commonly accepted calendar. I suspect there is also a surprised thought of “already?” Where did the time go? Weren’t we messing with the new year just the other day?
As has been taught, so often, and by so many, what is important is NOW. Now is literally timeless – you think, act, express, and experience now. It is curious how much “time” is spent in the “past” or in some “future” rather than in the only actual moment – “now.” In essence, do we choose to invest thoughts, emotions, etc., to a past or yet to be moment or choose to determine our state of attraction-thinking now?
The only way to affect a “tomorrow” is by thinking now. The manner (frequency) of now thoughts attract similar vibrations which present themselves to us as experience. Now also provides the means to change/correct earlier thinking – think “right” now. That’s simply the way it is. Lowell’s father, Charles, put it as simply as possible: If you’re unhappy with your life, change your thinking.
Why wait for your good? It is present now. If we’re not experiencing joy, the issue is our perception and not the absence of the desired situation. It may be that powerful, attractive, thoughts are literally keeping joy in some “future” situation. Or, the attractions created by previous thinking are reinforced by continuing to dwell on a past fear (a.k.a. worry) – effectively blocking any desired situation now.
Jesus healed and advised the person to sin no more. Sin being “wrong” thinking. Change the thinking and the desired health is retained. Resume the “wrong” thinking and it will re-create the illness/disease.
It’s all a matter of choice. Now.
