On this day, one year ago, I became a member of Authors Den.

It may have even been on the same day that I received the, first sight, copies of my second published novel, “Becoming”.

As I was looking for a new venue to, hopefully, sell some books – as I am sure for the same reason many of you became AD members – I became an AD member. 

In some ways, AD was far less than I expected. However, in most ways Ad was much more than I expected.

Now, on this day, one year later, after submitting 114 stories and 130 articles I have had 130,000 “impressions” and  803 “clicks” and, sadly, only two confirmed sales through AD.  Of course book sales generated through AD may have been sold through internet book sellers that – as many of you know – is just about impossible to track down.

Okay, so the bad part is, in actuality, that I’ve only sold two books.

The good part. The part that, for me, has made Authors Den well worthwhile is that what I write is being read, and commented on, and I am able to read your work and comment on what you write.

I have made a goodly number of friends and do thank all of those that have become “trackers” and I also thank anyone that reads anything that I’ve written.

I had one hell of a good time at the LA County Book Fair and do plan on participating again next year.

And also... Shhh! Can’t let anyone know, but I’ve even been inspired to write poetry.

And last but not least, without Authors Den I would not have met a wonderful woman that I now say BLU to.
