Riding on the heels of the Gardasil scam, Big Pharma and its puppet doctors recommend testing babies’ cholesterol levels by age two and beginning a statin drug regimen at eight years old. Even if you don’t have a child or grandchild, niece or nephew, this information also will touch YOU. So feel free to stay tuned. Hear what some of the experts have to say about statin drug side effects and the origin of raw materials for all America’s medications!
The combination of foreign ingredients in our drugs and medicating our children for possible, future illnesses with no substantial data for the disease (as theAmerican Academy of Pediatrics, A.A.P. recommends) could produce devastating results.
“To be frank, I’m embarrassed for the A.A.P. today,” said Dr. Lawrence Rosen of Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, vice chairman of an academy panel on traditional and alternative medicine.
“Treatment with medications in the absence of any clear data,” he continued. I hope they’re ready for the public backlash.”
In addition to this warning, a team of doctors at the Rochester University Medical Center researched the effects of statins on specific brain cells called glial progenitor cells.
The team explains that the glial progenitor cells are flexible brain cells. Their function is somewhat similar to stem cells. They can be transformed to become what the brain needs them to become. The brain holds them in reserve and then changes them into the cell type it needs to stay healthy.
In the study, the researchers found that glial progenitor cells are related to cholesterol, involving a specific enzyme. Statin drugs target this enzyme, changing the glial progenitor cells into oligodendrocyte cells, according to the researcher's report.
Surprise! The research team also said the brain may not need oligodendrocyte cells and the progenitor cells may develop prematurely.
If the progenitor cells develop prematurely, they will no longer be in reserve. Therefore, they will be useless in case of brain injury or trauma, including a stroke, a blow to the head, or inflammation of the brain.
This information helps us understand why statins appear to cause cognitive problems, relating to thought processes, reasoning, and perception.
One of the most common side effects of statin drugs is muscle pain. Many children who have high cholesterol levels may be obese, needing exercise and proper nutrition to help correct the problem naturally. With muscle pain, they will be less mobile and less healthy.
Of course, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), reported to be Big Pharma’s best friend and advocate “have approved statin drugs for children as young as eight years old”, according to an article written for the New York Times by Tara Parker-Pope.
However, the origin of raw ingredients in our drugs is the potential catastrophic stickler. According to information on ABC’s Night-Line, July 30, 2008, eighty percent of the raw ingredients in American drugs are manufactured in foreign countries. The FDA inspects less than one percent of them.
The raw ingredient in Heparin, pig intestines, is manufactured in China and was purposefully contaminated in September 2007, according to the Night-Line report. More than 100 Americans died and if the problem had not been identified by one pharmaceutical researcher, millions of Americans would have perished.
The researcher on Night-Line said the contaminant China placed in the raw ingredient was so similar to Heparin that it was extremely difficult to detect.
Now we might ask ourselves the question: America is the leader of the world so why would we import raw materials for our medications? The answer is obvious - MONEY. The American Pharmaceutical companies make money buying cheaper ingredients abroad.
Instead of the backlash Dr. Rosen predicted, it seems the American people are content to pay Big Pharma, big bucks to buy abroad for big savings, charge Americans more, and inoculate our children and ourselves with questionable ingredients.
The American people could stop drug import overnight, but it seems we would rather sit in our chairs and play Russian roulette with our children's lives, waiting to see if the drugs are tainted or not. It is too bad many of us trust aliens with our lives before exercise, good nutrition, and sound judgment.
