I was first inspired to write Caught In The Rain while my husband and I took a leisurely drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. We started from Huntington Beach and our destination was San Francisco. Somewhere along the way, I took a photo, one of many, of the rugged coastline. But this photo haunted me. Until one day, I started to write Jessica's story. It all fit into place and as her story began to unfold, the photo stuck in my mind and ended up being the cover for my book. I had been extremely homesick living out west. And even though the beauty of where we lived often took my breath away, I wanted to move back east. Writing this novel kept me sane and I actually ended up finishing it after we moved back east. I'll always cherish my time in California and the wonderful places we were able to enjoy. Without that journey, Caught In The Rain never would have been born.

About Caught In The Rain:
Jessica Thomas flees an abusive home and is thrust into the dangerous lifestyle of an L.A. escort. She leaves behind her best friend, Joe, who embarks on a path into politics.
