Let come together as a nation.
I wonder today when you go to vote will the color of one man's skin be the final decision on who you vote for. I hope not....we are better than that...or at least i think so...It is my greatest hope that we as a species have evolved to a more understanding, compassionate and learned being. It still amazes me how much importance we place on a persons color or ethnic back round. Simply put we are all the same, we are a bunch of colored crayons stuck in a box trying to co-mingle on this planet. Why do we need to find fault with each other? Why can we not enjoy the different ideas, dreams and visions we all have? I for one would not want the world painted one color or one shape or one size. How boring that would be!!! We fire each other up over opinions and facts and racial overtones. When the truth is we all want the same. We want our children safe and happy. We want good things for them, we want them to be educated, loved and have their dreams fulfilled. We want peace, we want fairness and equality. This earth is all of ours..we are here for such a short period of time...how wasteful that time will be if we continue to argue, blame, judge, lie and mislead each other. It is time to defeat this ignorance that blinds us from greatness. The men and women of all racial backrounds who have perished fighting for equal rights and the right of freedom deserve more than whats going on in our country today.
Whoever wins today i pray for them; and i pray the country will rise up together and embrace our new President. It has not been easy these last 8 years for anyone. What our country has endured was beyond my imagination; i never thought in my lifetime i would experience what has happened. But if we continually blame, judge and pass the buck we'll never grow and mature as a nation. It is what it is; we cannot change the past so get your head out of the sand, take a deep breath and move forward. The world has looked to us for guidance in years gone by....lets start anew and show the world how great we are....how giving and loving we can be....how our greatest attribute is forgiveness. No more bickering or yelling or gossiping. Lets get back to strong values of Faith, Commitment, Endurance, Education, Strength, Encouragement, Enthusiasm, Togetherness, Family, God and Love. No more wallowing in negativity...that time is gone....I am a Dad of three boys; i want their life to be filled with positives and endless opportunities . So today which ever candidate wins i look forward to new beginnings, new promises and dreams that will once again elevate our country to the symbol of freedom it represents around the world.
