Everything we bring into our lives with love and good feelings is an opportunity for healing and recovery even if we are afraid. There is joy in achieving and growth in self-awareness when we learn something new.

All paths of creative expression lead us to healing and recovery even when we are afraid to try new things. When we make the invisible visible, we are like magicians. It amazes me how we humans like to be scared. When we face the unknown, our hearts beat faster. Our adrenaline goes on overload and we can do things we never expected. True poetry and heartfelt writing are bridges for us to get to know each other's hearts. We who are artistic welcome others into our worlds of make believe and fantasy by our offerings of creative expression.

I like to mix the two myself as reality gets a little boring and sometimes humor can guide us in new directions of thought.

Years ago when I was suffering from chronic depression, every sculpture I managed to finish was like a gift of joy.  My vases and pots seemed like friends. They were like bridges to others.  I was afraid to start anything new. Afraid I would fail. I failed a lot but I succeeded a lot, too.

Now I am writing and using recycled failure, anger  and pain to hopefully inspire others to recycle their own pent up feelings by making the invisible visible with Art Therapy.

Have a safe, Happy Halloween.

From the moment they entered the house, hinges creaked and strange and frightening sounds echoed through the halls.
