Sometimes something different is just...perfect for us.

Everyone has some specific taste. Fav. brand, fav. cuisine, fav. music and etc.
We always pick up our special choices and never even look at something different. We always prefer what we think we like. But sometimes unexpectedly, we started liking something new to us, something different.

One of my sweetest friend, Tejal,  asked me one night, "Why do you love me so much? I don't have any thing which you like. I'm not sexy, not wild.....maybe a bit understanding, but i'm not your type! So why?"

I thought about it for a while. And I was surprised to realize that she had a point! She was right. She was not "my type". All the time I have loved her I never thought about a single thing which I prefer in girls. I simply loved her.

I just said, "You're sexy...in your own way. And you are understanding for sure."
"hmm...maybe", she replied.

But this little thing she said, made me wonder, how come I started liking someone who is exactly opposite in character to the ones I prefer.
The only answer I had was, "I don't know!"

It happens sometimes, that we get something exactly opposite to the thing we wanted. We think we can never like that thing or that person. But sometimes we just bump onto something or someone and the next moment we realize that we enjoy having them, we like them.

My choice of  music was pop, soft n romantic. Fav. singer being Avril Lavigne and Enrique Iglesias. So I always searched for their songs or other of the same type. I preferred listening to Avril and Enrique. Sometimes Bryan Adams. But I had never liked rock music. And suddenly one day, at one of my friend's place, I heard "Numb" by Linkin Park. I tried to ignore it by just thinking that I don't like rock songs. But the reality was, I liked it. The lyrics was awesome! Music was damn rocking!
I had a collection of some 60 songs of Linkin Park but had never heard them just because I thought I don't like rock music. But the moment I heard Numb, I started picking up songs from my Linkin Park collection!

The girl I was telling about......you can say....we became friends by chance and unexpectedly, I started liking her. I had never thought we could have such a special bonding. It never occured to me that I love her this much until one day she asked me, "Tell me frankly if you have any feelings for me."
I thought about it and it was like....."bam!"
She was completely, completely different from the girls I had ever had relationship with. But still, I loved her.

What I'm exactly trying to say is, sometimes we should try new things. Keep aside our limitations and open up our mind a little bit. Of course not like shopaholics when it comes to buy things. But a little bit of new things won't do any harm to your fashion. Maybe someday you're on shopping, your fav. brand being Allisons but there you see a Versace T-shirt which suits just perfect on you.....will you not take it just because it's not Allisons?
For relationships, don't deny going out with someone just because they are not of your type. Atleast give them a chance. Maybe they will turn out to be the perfect one you were looking for, maybe better. Well.... but at last, it's all up to you.

Maybe we are already happy enough with the type of things we like but maybe the type of things we never tried has something more for us. Who knows?

And about Tejal, my honey-bunch...
She's good, really good.
Maybe she's not my type, but she's worth it.
The only thing is, she also has many limitations!
But all over, she's good.
And I still don't know why I love her!

All I will say is,
Something Different......is Sometimes Perfect!
