This is a short article on how I am going to try and prepare spiritually for Jesus being born in a new way in my life.

Today we enter into advent . Preparing for a new birth. A new or deeper way for Jesus to be born into my life. The readingn today talked about us being the clay and God being the potter of the clay. I love this imagery of God.In order for God to mold me I need to be flexable and open to the molding.

As I was writing this I was going to use the concept of each part of my body and how it was molded for the path God wants me to take, but as I did I was thinking of God molding my life. Not so much my body, but my life as ball of clay.I am in the clay, but God gently molding me and the clay together. As I go through my life God molding me to adapt to new situations and growing that needs to happen for me to love deeper and develop more courage and faith.

Oh, I certainly do resist at times. I can make the clay of my life hard and inflexable so that God has ann awful time trying to mold me.I don't believe even God knows exactly what life will bring, only the purpose He has in mind as far as me being His beloved daughter and showing His love and using the gifts He has given me.

So- how does this relate to lent?I need to be very open and flexable to however God wants to mold me. I need to be awake to how God is in my daily life and what God may be teaching me by events that happen. I need to be alert to how I perceive the people I meet and the situations.

If I am able to do this when Chrsitmas comes I will be able to sing Oh Come All Ye Faithful and see the new birth in me and how I can bring this new birth into the world.
