I thought I might give more information about my book Joyful Surrender with the hope that someone might consider buying it. It tells how I overcame sexual abuse. When I was a todler two teenagers sexually abused me and one took out a knife and was llifting it up to kill me. The other boy said stop that I wasn't worth it. I was very grateful he stopped him, but I am afraid his words made me feel like I wasn't even worth being killed. I don't know of any words that could be more demeaning. But I am sure there are. I tell of how that affected me and how slowly I began to like myself and wanted a relationship with Jesus. I tell of my deep gratitude to Jesus and how I developed a way for me to follow him.
I developed three stages. In the first stage I ask myself questions like , what is my deepest desire, what are the gifts I have been given etc.This book has seemed to be helpful and touched the people who read it. It is very uplifting and full of gratitude. I mention the abuse only to show how God has helped me.
If you feel inclined to buy the book you can buy it from this site . Joyful Surrender costs eight dollars. With a two dollar shipping charge. It might make a great Easter gift. My reason for writing it was certainly not to get rich, but to maybe help someone who may have been abused or want to grow in their faith.
